End of life announcement

It's hard to believe that we've been offering our Counters service for nearly a decade and a half! Counters started out to fill a basic question many people had so many years ago: how many people are visiting my website?

Back then we had a simple answer: increment a counter each time someone visited. But a simple thing like counting users became increasingly more complicated as the Internet became available to more people, and new tools like scanning bots began to interfere with our solution.

With that in mind, we've decided to bring this era to an end and shut down the product. Counters were officially removed as of July 1st, 2017.

If you are still interested in similar services, we strongly recommend you check out the Google Analytics platform, a much more comprehensive data analysis system for websites.

Please note that we will not be accepting any new clients for this product.
