I think I tried them all,I go into sites and really does not give me what I need.Yes I was born in glasgow,come here in 1975.I did notice some names you listed that people were interested in,so I will pass it along. At the back of our house there was a really old tree which I know pre-dated our house but Im not sure about pre-dating the older houses like those in Mansewood Rd or Hillside Rd. The tree was the meeting place for the local starling population prior to their evening exodus to the city centre. They made a huge noise. |

I would love to see photographs of the "Kirky" (as it was called) before Hillpark housing scheme was built on it.I would also like some info. on the old house ruin which was in the kirky at the top end of Pentland road.
